Handcrafted from white jade stone and shaped to fit the contours of your face to help stimulate lymph nodes and tone facial skin.

While traditional Chinese use of gua sha does not only use the tool I sell here in the Yatlina store, it is an excellent way to introduce self-massage and manual lymph drainage to your daily routine.

Historically, any "scrapping" tool can be used to move the Qi (the life force) of the body to treat any form of stagnation or heat stroke.

The movements used in Gua Sha massage on the face encourage lymph node drainage and can appear to help with fine lines and general skin tone. This may be a temporary fix, but with time devotees have shown long-term results. It also helps with tension and muscle stiffness generally stored around the jaw and neck area.

What stone is this Gua sha?

You'll love the beautiful and unique quality of this jade gua sha stone.

Our Yatlina Gua Sha is made of 100% natural white jade stone. It has a lovely weight and soft edges, which slide gently over the curves of your face and neck using your favourite oil; it feels so relaxing.

Because the white jade stone is natural and handmade, each stone will be slightly different, and every object you purchase will have its own unique personality.

What are the benefits of Gua Sha

  • It helps to tone skin muscles

  • Improves the texture of the skin

  • Improves circulation and blood flow

  • Relaxing routine to add time for self-care daily or when you need it.

  • It helps with lymph drainage.

  • Regular use can help with puffiness and general skin tone and firmness.

How do you use a Gua Sha tool on your face and neck area

  1. Apply your Facial oil as directed.

  2. Use gentle gliding movements upwards from your cheek to the side of your face towards your ear and the same for under the eye area.

  3. Use around the back of the neck in a downward motion to help relax the muscles.

  4. On either side of the throat, use upward strokes under the chin.

  5. Use the narrow part to slide along the jawline to tone the area.

  6. Finally, finish with upward strokes on your forehead.

  7. Use gentle pressure throughout your treatment to get the most benefit on your lymph nodes; excessive pressure does not work as well and can cause damage.

Is Gua Sha safe to use

The soft rounded edges of the Yatlina White Jade Gua Sha, if used as directed, are very safe and can be very relaxing and beneficial.

Make sure not to tug on your skin or press it too hard when using it to avoid any skin damage or bruising.

Is there a time when I should not use my Gua sha?

Avoid use if you are taking medication for heart conditions or blood clots, and consult your doctor first.

If you recently had botox or filler treatments, avoid use for two weeks.

Please only use the Gua sha with oil; otherwise, it might tug too much on your skin.
